Sir Bob Geldof.

He’s an icon who has had a significant impact in the worlds of music, activism, and global change. For the first time, Sir Bob Geldof will share his life story live on stage at Wellington’s Michael Fowler Centre.

The evening will be a unique blend of live storytelling and intimate acoustic performances. Bob will talk about his teenage years in Dublin, sing some of his favourite songs, and reveal the backstory to his music career with indie rock band The Boomtown Rats.

For many people, Bob Geldof is famous for organising Band Aid and Live Aid. The 1980s charity events involved musicians performing to raise money for anti-famine efforts in Ethiopia. The evening will mark the 40th anniversary of Live Aid. This remains one of the world’s most memorable charitable events. Bob’s commitment and passion for global justice continue to this day. Take the opportunity to experience the charisma that has defined Bob Geldof’s extraordinary life journey.
