Seven band members of Supergroove, a New Zealand funk rock music group.

Known for unrelenting energy on stage, Supergroove’s electric live shows were the stuff of legend in the 90s. Three decades later, they’re back on tour and ready to recreate the phenomenon in their highly anticipated reunion. The Phenomenon Tour is a unique chance to see the original 1995 Supergroove crew together again. The Opera House concert will be an unforgettable celebration of their musical legacy. Special guests joining them are Troy Kingi, Rubi Du, and DJ King Kapisi.

Supergroove’s debut album ‘Traction’, released in 1994, achieved Platinum status in its first week. It cemented their place as the most successful band in New Zealand at the time. They were everywhere — dominating airwaves and stages. Frontman Karl Steven explains, “We were barely in long pants when Supergroove used to roll into towns. The level of enthusiasm we encountered across the country was both humbling and, at times, borderline bonkers.”

The Phenomenon Tour pays tribute to those early glory days and to the loyal fans who have been with them since the start. With original anthems like Sitting Inside My Head, Scorpio Girls, and You Gotta Know, the concert will be a rare and high-octane experience.
