Since debuting as a standup comic in 2009, British funnyman Rob Beckett has built an impressive career. His new show ‘Giraffe’ brings his brand of down-to-earth comedy to Wellington’s St James Theatre. From podcasts and radio to hosting, television, and voiceovers, Rob is a versatile comedian. New Zealand audiences might recognise him as one of the winners of the popular show ‘Taskmaster’, or the long-running ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’. He has many other UK television shows to his name including ‘Rob & Romesh Vs.’ and ‘Celebs Go Dating’. Now a father of two, he has focused his lens on the ups and downs of parenting and produces a smash-hit podcast ‘Parenting Hell’.

When asked about leaving his family to tour to the other side of the word Rob is unfazed. “My wife thinks it’s going to be tough for me to be away from the family, and don’t get me wrong, I do love my children, but I also enjoy a lie-in and a hotel buffet breakfast. I think I’ll cope.”

“Hilariously observational comic… brings roars of laughter.”
