The Tape Face Show

Prepare to be swept away by the magic of silence. Comedian Tape Face mixes physical comedy, mime, and silent stand-up to create an unforgettable show. As the name suggests, he conducts the show with a piece of black tape covering his mouth. Although he can’t open his mouth, you will open yours as his wordless comedy leaves you in stitches. 

Tape Face is the creation of New Zealander Sam Wills. He launched the character at the 2005 New Zealand Comedy Festival. It’s fitting that 20 years later he is bringing the character back as part of the 32nd New Zealand International Comedy Festival. In the intervening years, Tape Face reached the finals of ‘America’s Got Talent’ in 2016 and toured the world. He currently has a residency at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
