About the trail

Jail Brake is an adventurous downhill track packed with fun trail features. Enjoy a series of small drops and a large one near the end of the trail. All jumps are rollable for less confident riders. The trail includes berms, drops, jumps, a rock face, rollercoaster, and wallride.

Shuttle back to the top by car or make a loop with other trails in the reserve.

Getting there

Jail Brake starts near the Centennial Reserve entrance on Main Road, next to the pump track.

Know before you go

  • The trail is Grade 3 Intermediate when the conditions are dry, and closer to a Grade 4 when wet. Some of the corners are clay and can get greasy/slippery.
  • The track is shared use. Walkers and runners must give way to mountain bikers.
  • Always check for track updates on Trailforks before heading out.
  • For an up-to-date weather report, check MetService.
