About the park

Centennial Reserve is a network of zigzag trails perfect for mountain biking, walking, and jogging. The reserve is located in Maupuia on the steep bushy hillside of Miramar, one of Wellington’s eastern suburbs.

The trails range from easy to advanced difficulty. There’s a small pump track with city views and the Kids Track that is great for beginners. For those looking for more of an adrenaline rush, test your skills on the more advanced tracks like Jail Brake, Solitary, or Nevay Link.

The trail names reflect the Reserves location which is directly below the former Miramar Prison (closed in 2012).
