Bootleg
A short access track that makes Juvenile Delinquent easier for kids and beginners.
Centennial Reserve is a network of zig-zag trails perfect for mountain biking, walking, and jogging. The reserve is located in Maupuia on the steep bushy hillside of Miramar, one of Wellington's eastern suburbs.
The trails range from easy to advanced difficulty. There’s a small pump track with city views and the Kids Track that is great for beginners. For those looking for more of an adrenaline rush, test your skills on the more advanced tracks like Jail Brake, Solitary, or Nevay Link.
The trail names reflect the Reserve's location which is directly below the former Miramar Prison (closed in 2012).
Centennial Reserve is located in Maupuia, near Miramar. There are multiple entrance and access points that are all clearly signposted:
The downhill entrance for Juvenile Delinquent, Jail Brake, Conviction, and the pump track is at the water tank gates on Main Road. To acccess Conviction or the top end of Nevay Road, use the entrance at the north end of Darlington Road.
