Learn about famous and not-so-famous explorers from Ice Age migrations through to space travel. In ‘Explorers — The Age of Discovery with James May’, the lives of great voyagers come to life on stage. James May will unravel breathtaking tales. Explore the earliest wanderings of ancient hunter-gatherers to intrepid, often obsessive, modern-day explorers. He covers people like Leif Erikson, John Cabot, James Cook’s navigator Tupaia, Stanley and Livingstone, and Gertrude Bell. There’s also time and space for, well, time and space. Talk about moonwalkers, astronauts, and the seemingly impossible challenges of interplanetary travel.
James May is a British television presenter and award-winning journalist. He’s best known as a co-presenter of the motoring show ‘Top Gear’. He’s also known for his charisma live on stage and on screen. His storytelling combines with some exciting theatrical techniques. He will help you traverse deserts, scale mountains, and sail into the unknown. Those with an insatiable curiosity and an unquenchable thirst for discovery will be thoroughly entertained.
