The waterfront will radiate with the colours and sounds of South East Asia in October. The Diwali Festival of Lights is an annual celebration for Hindus and other Indian religions. From 2pm to 8:30pm, there will be non-stop entertainment and Indian cultural activities at TSB Arena and Shed 6. There’ll be a stage showcasing dance and music demonstrations throughout the day. In between performances, grab a mango lassi while you peruse the food stalls, searching for your favourite dish. There’ll also be plenty of Indian fashion and jewellery retail stalls to check out. Try a lantern-making class or select a henna design for your hand.

Diwali symbolises the “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.” As a fitting celebration of this symbolism, the festival finishes with a fireworks display. It’s expected to happen around 8:45pm.
