Opening hours

For any ticketed events, the box office opens 60 minutes before the event start time. At the box office you can buy tickets, arrange ticket collection, and resolve any ticketing issues.

TSB Arena is a cashless venue

The performance bars and kiosks at TSB Arena are cashless. Enjoy a more efficient guest experience with less time waiting in queues. There are no surcharges or extra fees on payWave and credit card transactions.

Parking and public transport

• Wilson car park at Queens Wharf, located under TSB Arena, has mobility parking spaces available.
• There is a drop-off zone close to the arena entrance, accessible from Jervois Quay.
• There are Metlink bus stops in the area.

Only buy tickets from authorised sellers

Ticketmaster is the official ticketing agent for all events at Venues Wellington venues.

You can buy tickets:

• online through our Events section
• online from Ticketmaster
• at the Wellington isite Visitor Information Centre.

To make sure you don’t miss out on attending an event, please only buy tickets from Ticketmaster. Unauthorised resellers on Viagogo and TradeMe often sell fake tickets. Our venues are not obligated to let you in if you have purchased a ticket from an unauthorised reseller.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access

• The TSB Arena has wheelchair access to the ground floor.
• Accessible seat locations differ for each event because the venue is multipurpose.
• For event-specific seats, you can visit the event page on the Ticketmaster website or contact us.
• Wheelchairs are available at the venue but require you to give advanced notice so they can ensure they are on-site during the event.
• There is elevator access to the upstairs seating for people with reduced mobility.

Visually impaired

• Guide dogs are welcome at the TSB Arena.
• Some shows may offer audio-described performances and touch tours.
• If you need additional assistance at the venue, ask our friendly staff, who are trained to help.

Hearing impaired

• The TSB Arena has an audio loop available for patrons with hearing impairments.
• The audio is available for all patrons seated in Block 8.
• Some shows may offer sign-language-interpreted performances.

Built in 1995, TSB Arena was originally known as Queens Wharf Events Centre. It sits on a totara wharf built in the 1860s then known as ‘deep water wharf’.

The design of the building takes its inspiration from the many wharf buildings that once stood along Wellington’s waterfront. The ‘Queen’s Bond’ warehouse was built in 1862 and stood where the Arena does now. It was the centre of Wellington’s thriving sea trade from the 1880s to the 1930s, exporting meat, cheese, apples and pears, coal, wool, tallow and flax. It became TSB Arena in 2006.

A multi-use venue

The arena hosts many sports games and is the home arena for the Wellington Saints and Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse.

The TSB Arena hosts annual public exhibitions, gala dinners, cultural fairs, and the annual World of Wearable Art Awards (WOW). Originally designed to hold 3,635 people, it was redeveloped and expanded in 2005 to seat 4,570.

TSB Arena also operates as a music venue and regularly attracts overseas acts. Previous concerts include Ed Sheeran, The 1975, OneRepublic, Six60, David Byrne, The Killers and comedy acts such as Michael McIntyre

The TSB Arena is Wellington’s biggest indoor venue. It’s a go-to venue choice for conferences, public exhibitions, international concerts and indoor sporting events. It’s home to the annual World of WearableArt Show (WOW).

With 2,186m² of floor space, the Arena has large foyer spaces and is very versatile. It can be set up in numerous configurations, with optional retractable tiered seating and loose floor seating that complements the fixed mezzanine seats.

The venue has street level access, making access easy for delegates and seamless pack in and out via the large dockway entrance.

Rooms and spaces

The TSB Arena is a large flat-floored venue, with a 2,186m² floor space that can fit a standing crowd of up to 6,000, while tiered and loose seating accommodates up to 3,568 seated guests.

Floor-to-ceiling black drapes frame the space for exhibitions, awards dinners, and other special events.

A custom sports floor is marked with netball and basketball courts, complete with a digital scoreboard. It is home to our regional teams and international sporting events.

Further rooms are available for performers, executive meetings, speaker preparation, and organisers’ secretariat. The arena connects to Shed 6 and the arcade area which allows for further breakout spaces, poster sessions, and catering.
