Wellington Advent Calendar Terms and Conditions

Here’s the fine print for the Advent Calendar, including terms and conditions and how we manage your information.

Terms and conditions

  1. The Promoter of Wellington Advent Calendar is Wellington Regional Economic Development Agency Ltd trading as WellingtonNZ.
  2. To access the deals, you will need to create an account:
    1. All data is stored in New Zealand. Data centres are compliant with NZISM standards and are regularly maintained to ensure the security is up to date.
    2. If you create an account, you will need to provide an email address and set up a password. You are responsible for the use of the website(s) through your email and password, and must keep your login information secret and secure.
    3. By creating an account, you agree to receive marketing communications from WellingtonNZ. You can unsubscribe at any time, but you may miss out on important updates or deals.
  3. Each day between 1 to 24 December 2024 (inclusive), a new deal(s) will be unlocked on the Wellington Advent Calendar.
  4. You have until 31 January 2025 to access the deals.
  5. A maximum of one (1) voucher per person (per deal) can be redeemed.
  6. To redeem your voucher:
    1. In-store: Take your smartphone/device into the store and show the staff. You will need to click on the deal and then show the code to staff so they can verify it. Then, click the 'redeem' button on the Advent website.
    2. Online: Some deals are available online. To redeem an online deal you will either need to click on the link and complete the transaction, or click on the link and enter the supplied code. Then, click the 'redeem' button on the Advent website.
  7. Each offer in the Wellington Advent Calendar has its own terms and conditions specific to the business. These terms are included on the Advent website.
  8. Additional third-party terms and conditions for the offers may apply.
  9. Travel and other incidental costs associated with claiming any vouchers are the responsibility of the participants.
  10. In the event that an offer becomes unavailable for reasons beyond The Promoter’s control, The Promoter is under no obligation to provide a substitute offer.
  11. The Promoter and their agents are not responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of the promotion or accepting or using the voucher.
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions if needed.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to block users who have acted dishonestly or where technical malfunctions have occurred, so let’s play fair.
  14. By entering the promotion, entrants accept the terms and conditions stated here.

Privacy Policy

  1. The information you provide is collected by WellingtonNZ.
  2. Any personal information you provide to WellingtonNZ will only be used to administer this campaign and to contact you once about signing up for our mailing list. The collection of this data is in line with the Privacy Act 2020. For more information about how we manage the data we collect, see our privacy policy.
  3. On request, WellingtonNZ will provide you with a copy of the contact details we hold for you. You may at any time ask us to update or remove your contact details from our database.
  4. Any data captured as part of this campaign will be used in accordance with WellingtonNZ's Terms of Use. The exception to this is for The Promoter to contact anyone who is to be blocked from the promotion.
  5. All other information collected about a participant shall be destroyed within a reasonable time from after the completion of the promotion.
  6. Only WellingtonNZ has rights and access to the database. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your contact details remain confidential at all times.
  7. WellingtonNZ will not provide your details to any third party.
