Wellington's James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, with 180 full time staff, has been named the best medium to large workplace in New Zealand, in the 2007 Unlimited/JRA Best Places to Work in New Zealand survey.

CluedUp and Williment Travel Partnership

 

Corporate team event specialists CluedUp has recently partnered with Williment Travel Group, which has acquired a 50% share of CluedUp. The future looks exciting says CluedUp Director Greg Norris; "It's fantastic to be part of the Williment Travel Group. Our focus has always been on specialising in corporate team events. With this partnership, the opportunity to extend our offering and to further develop our events is really exciting!"

Copthorne Hotel Wellington, Plimmer Towers closes

On 5 April 2008 the Copthorne Hotel Wellington, Plimmer Towers closed its doors. This property no longer operates as part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, and is now a Travelodge. There are still two Millennium Hotels and Resorts properties in Wellington city; Copthorne Hotel Wellington, Oriental Bay and Kingsgate Hotel Wellington, Portland. Both properties offer great conference facilities.
