Toi Te Papa Art of the Nation is Te Papa's flagship art exhibition. It captures the richness of New Zealand's artistic heritage - Maori, European, Pacific - in a diverse range of artworks drawn from Te Papa's impressive visual arts collections. It shows the journey of New Zealand's art over the years.

Included are works by Rita Angus, Colin McCahon, Shane Cotton, Charles Frederick Goldie, Ralph Hotere, and many more. Occupying all of Level 5, Toi Te Papa offers a memorable and thought-provoking journey through the nation's distinctive art history.
