Downtown Backpackers is a revamped art deco hotel that can cater for up to 280 guests. They have a wide variety of rooms ranging from share rooms to private rooms, and also have an in-house bar and café. They also have a function room that comfortably holds 25 to 30 people.
Downtown Backpackers is located close to the CBD (5 minute walk) as well as being close to bus, train, and ferry terminals. They are also only 5 minutes walk to the TSB Bank Arena, and Victoria University is directly opposite the property. The in-house café is able to provide finger food as well as full breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The reception is open 24 hours.
