The Matterhorn team is proud to welcome the emerging talents of Sean James Marshall, who has spent the past two years running his own critically acclaimed restaurant and patisserie, Ambrosia, on the Kapiti Coast. Sean has significant experience abroad, including stints launching Melbourne’s famed Botanical, and Dublin’s 2-Michelin Star, Thornton’s. His menu is fresh and unpretentious, showcasing the best of the region’s seasonal and artisan produce in a truly original fashion, and is supported by an extensive pioneering wine list traversing old and new world styles and one of the most comprehensive selections of spirits and original cocktails in the World.
Open every day from 10am, with the knives out from 11am - late, serving full meals as well as boldly imaginative tapas and small plates for grazing into the small hours. While bookings are only taken at lunch time, any wait for a table can be spent enjoying a cocktail selected from the seasonal list or made to your specifications by some of the country’s best bartenders.
