Harlem Globetrotters — 2024 world tour
13 July 2024TSB Arena
281 Happy Valley Road, Ōwhiro Bay, Wellington
The ever-changing course based on a ‘junkyard’ theme takes players on a journey through and around metal sculptures inspired by nature.
All 18 holes are proudly made from recycled treasure. From the greens that were once tennis courts or football turf to the metal structures of old diggers, boats and even WW2 submarine nets, it all adds to Carlucci Land’s charm.
Artist Carl Gifford makes all creations on-site. He has a passion for recycled materials and making unique sculptures from metal and rock.
The former mechanic grew up on the nearby rugged Ōwhiro Bay coast which sparked his love for the environment. Through Carlucci Land, he’s combined his love for adventure and art while also reducing his impact on the planet.
You can find some of Carl’s creations elsewhere around Wellington, at Massey University, Wellington Zoo and Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush.
At Carlucci Land, you can putt your way around the rugged landscape that features small ferrous metal kiwi, giant metallic spiders, and snakes. You can enjoy both the challenge and adventure.
Perfect for friends, families and groups of all ages. It’s open seven days and until 9pm for those keen on a night experience or a date night under the stars.
There’s also a BBQ area available to hire for group bookings such as schools, social clubs, youth groups, and private parties.
